This class covers key topics for contractor success, including cash flow management, controlling overhead, and setting performance standards. It also reviews Utah's 2024 Residential Energy Code amendments for compliance and energy efficiency

Managing Risk.
The course provides an overview of the law as it pertains to insurance, and how to manage risk in the most economical manner. It specifically focuses on legal requirements and how to comply with state and federal laws. This course is an overview of Utah State Lien Law, and the most recent changes. It addresses how to properly file with the SCR to maintain lien rights. It provides a detailed overview of important deadlines and filing processes.

Energy Code is not Required for 2025 Renewal

Energy Code is required if renewing late for the 2023 cycle

If you have multiple licenses, attendance in this course can apply to all of your licenses without taking additional classes for an additional $20/license. Only one person may attend per course registration. Each additional person must pay the entire course fee.

Continuing Education

CE courses meet the Continuing Education requirement for License Renewal

 

*NOTE FOR RENEWING S330, S410 & S350

S330 Landscape and Recreation Contractors and 

S410 Boiler, Pipeline, Waste Water, and Water Conditioner contractor classification need at least 2 hours (of their 6 hours of CE) related to backflow preventer installation every renewal cycle.

S350 HVAC Contractors must take 3 hours (of their 6 hours of CE) which is directly related to the installation, repair, or replacement of a heating, ventilation, or air conditioning system.
